What is your return policy?
We will gladly accept returns up to 30 days after you receive your item. As long as the items is returned to us in original condition.
Can I pick up, return, or view the items in store?
You can schedule an appointment to come in and view, pick up, or return an item if you are in our area. We are located in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island.
What are the payment options?
You can pay with credit cards, debit card, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. If you are picking your item up we also accept cash payments. We are working on expanding payment options.
Do you accept trade-ins?
Yes, we can take gold and silver in traded for payment. It does require the extra step of you getting the items to us. Either by mailing it to us or setting up an appointment to bring it in. If you just want to sell your items we can do that too!
How does Island Found Treasures work?
We work with a few different local gold buyers and we rescue items that we think are too special to be melted down. We do get some items from people who trade in jewelry they are no longer wearing for new items!  I then get them to my jeweler who cleans, polishes, and certifies each piece. We then list them for you to look at, buy, and enjoy!
How do you grade your stones?
Our jeweler goes through each and every item to appraise the stones and assign a value. A select few pieces will be appraised and come with a written certificate. That will be noted in the description. If you want an item you are buying to come with an appraisal that can be arranged.
Can rings be resized?
Yes! We absolutely can resize rings. We can also shorten bracelets and necklaces or make other alterations that you may need. All ring sizes are measured by the North American sizing chart.
What comes with my order?
You will receive your jewelry in either a box or a pouch with a certificate that states the specifications of the item you purchased. If stated in the listing it will come with an appraisal.
How does shipping work?
We are currently only shipping to Canada at this time. However we are working on shipping to the USA in the near future. For orders less than $250 we offer a flat rate of $20 for shipping. orders over $250 ship for free! We can also offer express shipping, please email us for a quote.
Are prices negotiable?
No, we list our items at the best price possible.
